Signature Jar Candle Care

Signature Jar Candle Care

How to Help Your Haven Curations Candles Burn Beautifully

Lighting a candle is a small ritual. A quiet shift in the room. A layer of warmth that settles everything around it.

Whether you are enjoying our mason jar soy candles, triple wick amber jars, or a discovery set, proper care will help your candle burn cleanly, evenly, and safely.

Here is how to get the most from every light.

Before Every Burn

Trim the wick to ¼".

For single wick candles, trim the cotton wick to about ¼ inch before lighting.

For triple wick candles, trim all three wicks evenly before each burn.

Why it matters
A properly trimmed wick prevents soot, excessive flickering, and uneven wax melt. It also protects the fragrance quality and extends burn time.

The First Burn Matters Most

Allow the wax to melt fully across the top before extinguishing.

This may take:

• 2 to 3 hours for 6 oz candles
• 3 to 4 hours for 12 oz and 14.5 oz candles

This prevents tunneling and helps your candle develop an even burn pattern for the rest of its life.

For Triple Wick Candles

Always light all three wicks at the same time.

Burning only one wick at a time can cause uneven melting and impact the structure of the wax pool. Lighting all three ensures balanced heat and optimal fragrance throw.

Burn Time Guidelines

Do not burn longer than 4 hours at a time.

Extinguish the flame, allow the wax to cool completely, trim the wick again if needed, and relight when ready.

This protects the vessel and preserves scent performance.

Placement Matters

Keep candles away from:

• Drafts
• Ceiling fans
• Open windows
• Air vents

A steady flame ensures an even melt and cleaner burn.

Always burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

When to Stop Burning

Discontinue use when about ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom.

This prevents overheating the glass vessel.

After the Candle Is Finished

Our mason and amber glass jars are designed to be repurposed beautifully.

Once cooled and cleaned, they can hold:

• Cotton rounds
• Matches
• Small florals
• Kitchen utensils
• Desk essentials

Collected comfort should never feel disposable.

A Gentle Reminder

Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep away from children and pets.
